چکیده
Carrot pomace (CP) which is generated in a large volume the juice production process, rich cellulose, hemicellulose, sugars, pectin, and minerals. However, many previous investigations, only cellulose was purified utilized while other components of CP were discarded as waste. Here, valorized into fungal biomass with aim utilizing all components. Enzymatic pretreatments applied to solubilize digestible fraction including sucrose, sugars for cultivation, remained intact solid fraction. The dissolved substrate cultivation an edible fungus (Rhizopus delemar). Fungal performed shake flasks bench-scale bioreactors. highest concentration obtained after pretreatment invertase (5.01 g/L) 72 h (36 42% higher than concentrations hemicellulase pectinase treatments, respectively). Invertase resulted hydrolysis could then be taken up by fungus. Carbohydrate analysis showed 28–33% glucan, 4.1–4.9% polysaccharides, 0.01% lignin, 2.7–7% ash residues enzymatic pretreatment. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy thermogravimetric also confirmed presence this has high potential food or feed applications, raw material development biomaterials. Cellulose from used applications such biobased-textiles membranes wastewater treatment, where pure needed.

Bioconversion technologies of crude glycerol to value added industrial products
Crude glycerol that is produced as the by-product from biodiesel, has to be effectively utilized to contribute to the viability of biodiesel. Crude glycerol in large amounts can pose a threat to the environment. Therefore, there is a need to convert this crude glycerol into valued added products using biotechnological processes, which brings new revenue to biodiesel producers. Crude glycerol ca...
متن کاملUtilization of Carrot Pomace for the Preparation of a Value Added Product
This study was conducted to explore the possibility of utilization of waste residues (pomace) obtained during carrot juice extraction for the preparation of a value added product viz. carrot based condensed milk product (gazrella, an Indian sweetmeat). The carrot pomace was treated osmotically in two ways: Firstly, dipping in 65°Brix sucrose syrup, secondly, by adding 35% sucrose (dry powder) t...
متن کاملAn overview of key pretreatment processes employed for bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass into biofuels and value added products
The hunt for alternative sources of energy generation that are inexpensive, ecofriendly, renewable and can replace fossil fuels is on, owing to the increasing demands of energy. One approach in this direction is the conversion of plant residues into biofuels wherein lignocellulose, which forms the structural framework of plants consisting of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, is first broken ...
